Some may argue Italy is all about the art. Others are certain opera is the true reason to come to Italy. Then you have those who insist it’s architecture, or the scenery, or something to do with religion. All these perspectives may have some truth in them but everyone can agree Italy would not be Italy without the food. And we do excellent food here in Umbria. When you are outside the palazzo, I’ll make sure you are directed to good food but, when you’re here, I’ll make sure you’re happily sated myself.
First night dinners: Most guests opt for joining me for a welcoming dinner. After a long day of traveling to get here, the last thing one needs to do is worry about where to eat. The answer is easily in my kitchen. It also gives us time to talk about what you’d like to see in Umbria. (25euro per person including Cantina Bettona wine.)
Dinners and lunches available to fit your dietary requirements. I’m able to provide something for everyone from carnivores to vegans.
Wine tastings: Umbria is famous for wine — our specialties are Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso. There are dozens of wineries within a short drive with extraordinary wines. We’ll help you discover the true flavors of the region.
Special events: I’ve done buffets for 150 and sit downs up to 28 people. Let’s plan a menu.
Cooking lessons available: Here’s your chance to learn how to make pasta, ravioli, gnocchi, and much more.
