Villa Boccaglione opens at last
I have past the Villa Boccaglione, in Passagio just beneath the palazzo, for over 10 years wishing I could see inside. But it has never been open to the public. In the past few years, it’s been clear that someone has been working on it. It was painted and then lit so the desire has only intensified. What a wonderful surprise to find out that it would be open this weekend for only the second time in years. There is still an incredible amount of work to be done but it is truly an amazing building. Maybe someday it will be open regularly so that all who pass through can visit. For now it is a ruin in the process of rebirth.
